Choose AmeriCorps.

Explore career paths aligned with your values and deeper aspirations. Make an impact through paid AmeriCorps service.

Whether you recently graduated, have had a job or two, or have retired from a long career, you can serve with AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors.

AmeriCorps is a paid service experience where you make an immediate difference, develop your skills and civic leadership, and open opportunities for higher education and career paths. It connects over 200,000 Americans each year with local nonprofits, schools, and public agencies to tackle critical community issues such as disaster relief, education, and poverty reduction.

In Rhode Island, you can find an AmeriCorps placement at a nonprofit or public agency that needs your compassion and creativity to address our local challenges. In return, you may receive a paycheck, an education scholarship, career credentials, and other benefits. You will also join a growing network of 8,300 Rhode Island AmeriCorps alumni and the 1.25 million Americans who choose to make a difference through service.

AmeriCorps is what you’ve been searching for….

  • Make a positive impact on your community.

  • Gain leadership, problem-solving, communication, and other career skills.

  • Receive an education award for tuition or loan repayment. If age 55 or older, you may pass the award to your family.
